Iframe z-order problem on Firefox

The new plugin must obey the z-ordering of iframes on Firefox. The previous versions do not obey the z-index of the other iframes. Using wmode="transparent" with Adobe Flash plug-in solves the z-ordering problem with flash. It may be necessary for the new Java plugin to offer a similar functionality. On the other hand, having transparent applets is not a bad idea.

Yes, this is a good point. I've filed RFE 6646289 on your behalf which should show up in the Sun Bug Database tomorrow. I'm not sure we will be able to address this in the initial release of the new plug-in since it will likely require very deep changes, and we have a large amount of work to be done to reach our initial release goals even without this RFE. However we will do our best once we are in good shape in other areas.
