[JAI-IMAGEIO] CLib sources?

Hi,
I'm looking for the clib sources but I cannot seem
to find them. Are they in a separate project, or closed
down due to licensing issues?

I'm in particular worndering about jpeg decoding, since
we've found that the jpeg decoder built into ImageMagick
is apparently quite a bit faster (the imageio-ext in
fact already allows to use the ImageMagick in the
context of JAI but it would be nicer to avoid bringing
yet another library into the picture...)

Cheers

It is still closed at this time.
No schedule when it will be open-sourced.

Thanks,

I'm curious about one thing. Many of the native functinalities
could be provided by open source libraries such as libtiff, libjpeg,
libpng and so on. Is clib using any of them? (probably not the jpeg
ones since we get faster performance using imagemagick that's
libjpeg based...)

Cheers

No, the clib is not using any of them. On which platform do you
see clib being slower than libjpeg? Please file an issue at your
convenience.

The test was carried out by Simone Giannecchini, which I'm ccing.
I believe it was on Windows xp.
