I hate to see Sun miss the opportunities of multimedia so please put in the heavyweight/lightweight component mixing support Java 7 has.

Okay. Someone sent me my old bug listing and indeed Sun has fixed a big issue regarding Swing/AWT. I really wish/hope/ect they put it into the next 1.6 update (hint hint). The sun bug id is:

If you are talking about multimedia, then how about all those audio / video codecs that is still missing?

For a start, JMF hasn't stopped quite a while ago.

I wonder why everybody thinks SUN is responsible for all&everything in the java world?

Also, for multimedia stuff, I think yes its quite important - but to be honest if it would be _that_ important don't you think many commercial vendors would provide such solutions for some money.
I don't know about many, so, its just a guess that there's not much money to make which also make not a lot serious interrest.

I found multimedia support from another resource but it uses heavyweight components. I found out jdk 7 has heavyweight/lightweight component mixing support so what I am asking is for sun to put that in 6uN.

As for JMF that project has not been updated for many years so I am not asking about that in this thread.
