Am new to J2ME but have comprehensive idea of different programing language including java, i have to work on a research project that is all about developing a customized j2me cldc for a newly developed mobile embedded device. This device has embedded linux on it, and i have got linux bsp and the initial scope of this project is to run jvm on the linux bsp provided.

I desperately need some help to start up with this project. Anyone who can guide me a bit, will be of a great help for me.

Hi,

Sorry for the slow reply. Yep, you should start by perusing the phoneME Feature documentation and wikis on the mobile and embedded site. Next, read up on the phoneME Feature forum. A number of people have successfully used phoneME Feature on Linux devices ... it is quite straightforward if the device is ARM based.

Also, for further communication the correct forum to use is:

well i think it was a stupid question, and no one even bother to answer it :( So got the answer with a few minutes of r&d on phoneMe site. Below is the URL that contains comprehensive information to start with this activity. I am studying and putting some effort to get the details, if i would have any issue in understanding the stuff, this forum will remain my source of reference. Please consider me next time.
