Static stub URL

2 replies [Last post]

I have a web service consumer with a URL property that is set at compile
time (the proxy is generated in netbeans as an IDE generated static stub).
Is there a means of changing the URL property at runtime as the WS URL is
pretty much guaranteed to change?

Thanks,

Ed

This more related to the code that Netbeans generates.

But if you look at the code that NB creates for you (which you can't see in the Project view, but you can in the File view of the IDE), you'll notice that the URL is compiled in as a default, but there's a constructor you can call which will take the URL.

Just look at the generated code, and it should be evident what you need to do.

Thanks, that's done the job. Had found the .class files but not the .java
files. There was no existing ctor that took a URL, I've overloaded the
existing one and everything works as expected.
