Hi,

Anyone knows how I can get the entire content of a dojo.table as a JSON String?

It doesn't work

Error in Firebug:

jmaki.getWidget("dt") has no properties

[Break on this error] var dt = jmaki.getWidget("dt").getValue();

- please can you help me to store the data into a database with jpa jsf?

Thank you

Hi Greg,

Will a similar solution work for getting JSON data for yahoo.tree widget?
If so, how do I implement the getValue() method for tree widget?

Hi Narasimha,

I did not get to that yet. A solution similar to that provided by Greg for table widget should work.

Kamyar,
No problem but I implemented the same thing in a different way.

But now I have an issue with the dojo table. Upon clicking a row on the table I need to display another data table. Any idea how I should be approaching this?

Thanks,

Hi Narasimha,

This question is not really related to
the thread I started. The solution I was looking for was the ability
to get json data for a dojo table on the form. So that I can persist
the data for later access. Greg provided me with the solution I was
looking for.

What you are trying to do is easily doable via the publish/subscribe mechanism of jMaki.
You'll need to read the documentation and look at some examples to figure it out.

Hi,

just wondering, if it's possible to select a row of a jmaki yahoo data table
and save the values of the selected row
in a database using jpa and jsf.

Currently I've no Idea how to do this.

Hi Thorleif,

It should be possible. I have done the same thing using jsp and hibernate3.

Hi,

Short of going to the JavaScript source we do not have a way of doing this but I think it would be a good function to have.

I'll try to get an example together soon.
