Possible in BD-J to capture the screen and save to persistent storage? Any thoughts?

There isn't such a feature, I'm afraid.

A full-resolution screen capture would have been a bad idea, because
if you can capture one frame, you can capture all of them, and get the
whole movie at HD resolution. That said,
there could have been a way of capturing a down-res'd "thumbnail" of
the screen, like you can in HD-DVD. This feature wasn't added
to BD-J.

It seems like the main motivation for this feature would be user-generated
bookmarks. That wasn't really at the top of the priority lists :-)

Cheers,

Bill

That's what I suspected. Thanks, Bill.
