Has anyone else noticed this?

For example, it takes approx. 1.5 to 2 seconds after clicking for a menu to pop up. Same goes for clicking on tabbed pane. Scrolling in the editor is also slow.

Here is my config:

Product Version: NetBeans IDE 6.0 Beta 1 (Build 200709141330) Java: 1.6.0_05-ea; Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM 1.6.0_05-ea-b04 System: Windows XP version 5.1 running on x86; Cp1252; en_US (nb)

We have learned this issue and bug# 6613563 - D3D: Netbeans 6.0 is slower with the pipeline has been filed.

Thanks for reporting the problem,

Also, please post the output of any Swing application with
J2D_TRACE_LEVEL=4 env. variable set. It will help with the
investigation:
set J2D_TRACE_LEVEL=4
cd demo/jfc/SwingSet2
../../../bin/java -jar SwingSet2.jar
Thanks,
