Hi! I am new to the JXTA project and currently researching whether JXTA suites the requirements of an ongoign project.
I am using the JXTA Shell.
My question is;
Is it possible for a peer who is a member of a group say "groupA" to see and communicate a peer who is a member of a subgroup of "groupA" called "groupA1" ?
I have created a group advertisment as a peer in "groupA" then published it but its not appearing when I do a search as a different peer in the subgroup "groupA1".
I am wondering is this behaviour a limitation of the Shell or is it standard JXTA behaviour?

Thanks in advance.

yes, provided that it joins and communicates within groupA1. caveat, it can take up to 30 seconds for a newly published advertisement to be discoverable, unless of course multicast is available, then it should immediate.
