Installing (Firefox plugin) on Ubuntu Linux?

I've downloaded the .bin file for Linux, am running Ubuntu Feisty (7.04)--I was able to unpack the file and set my JAVA_HOME manually, but how to I install this so that the plugin is picked up by Firefox (2.0.0.6)? Do I have to copy files around or is there a script that will take care of it (hoping for the latter :)).

Thanks
Patrick

No, you need only create a symlink to the plugin-directory of mozilla, which looks on my system like:

[ce@localhost ~]$ cd /home/ce/Programme/FireFox2/plugins/
[ce@localhost plugins]$ ln -s /usr/java/jdk1.6.0_01/jre/plugin/i386/ns7/libjavaplugin_oji.so .

Of course, you'll have to adopt the paths.

Good luck, lg Clemens

Perfect, thanks, Clemens.

On my machine, the location was
/usr/lib/firefox/plugins
