Hello,

I'm looking into the ivr example. Got it running, welcome message is played but the program isn't responding on the dtmf tones. The dtmf event isn't triggered. I have no problem with the call-controller2 program. Any suggestions?

Thanks, Rob van der Wiele

I am using a SIP phone with older APIs, and I can't get my dtmf events to work either.

IVR example uses Media RA but the new API while call-controller2 uses older API's. Which SIP phone you are using? Also I am guessing that you have the Mobicents from CVS head.

Hi,

I'm using X-Lite version 3.0 build 41150 and I'm using mobicents and mobicents-examples v1_0_3_GA-d20070725-b1774. And yes I know they are using different API's. The new ones are looking very good, easy to read and understand. But without dtmf detection working it is not much use to me. So I hope it is something I can get to work.

Rob,
Check for silience suppression on your XLite phone. The dtmf events now are triggered when suppression is off

Hello Oleg,

Thanks for your response. But which option are you referring to? I can't find any option for silience suppression.

Hi Rob,
This parameters has different name on different version phones: old version of XLite name it "Transmit Silience (menu advanced system settings/audio settings/silence settings)" and new version call it "Preserve bandwidth during silience period" in the "network" params.

Hi all,

I have deployed the IVR example. I am using a 'peers' Java Swing based sip client. In order to get the IVR response. I should dial on which no to mobicents.

Thanks,
Akshat.

Dial any number it will go to example, just make sure that n your SIP Phone you have SIP Proxy as mobicents server.

Hi abhayani,

that was quite easy i should have figured it out.
I am using mobicents for a Health Care Hotline project.
In which i need to record calls right where a call taker picks it up.

how can i record calls and store them on a server.

I saw this IVR example uses a call recording SBB. Can it be used to record calls as per this requirement.

Thanks :)
Akshat.

That sounds as interesting. If you look at new media server that we have, it has capability for recording.

http://groups.google.com/group/mobicents-public/web/mobicents-media-server

The IVR example is using the old media-ra. Can you volunteer to make changes in existing code to use new media server + media-ra and recording will be out of box for you.

Hi Amit,

I would be happy to volunteer to modify the IVR example to use the new media server. But as of now i cant commit. I am currently implementing call transfer for an java swing based embedded sip client in a call center (health care based) application. We do have a requirement for IVR and call recording.

I will start working on it after 29th feb. I hope its ok.

Thanks & Regards,
Akshat.
