RE: [JAVAHELP] will search highlighting fix be released?

Is there an older version of javahelp2.0 installed with your Robohelp?
I use WWP, and I had to replace the javahelp2.0 in my Program Files\WebWorks
directory with the upgraded Javahelp version, regenerated the help, and it
worked.

I cannot get the search to work, even after doing the following:

1) Upgraded JavaHelp to version 2_0_05
2) Upgraded JDK to version 1.5 (aka 5.0)
3) Updated my environment variables to point to these new directories
4) Updated my registry key for JavaHelpHome to C:\javahelp-2_0_05\jh2.0
5) Updated my registry key for JavaHelpJdkHome to C:\jdk1.5.0_12
6) Updated my registry key for JavaHelpJdkVersion to 1.5
7) Rebooted my machine
8) Opened RHx5 project, generated new JavaHelp (AFTER deleting the
existing JavaHelp output from my machine)

The search still appears very broken to me. The steps listed did nothing
to resolve the problem.

Can someone please help me? I do not know what steps to take next.

Thank you,

Hi Ed,

Today, I serendipitously discovered that the search highlighting bug was
fixed, and further, that a new version of JavaHelp was released
containing the fix!

In the readme, the "bug fixes in this release" section reads:
Bug 6375606 - Regression: JavaHelp search highlighting broken in Java
1.5.0_06

JavaHelp maintainers: in the future, could you announce releases on this
list? Additionally, would you also make the list of software changes
easier to find by putting the list of changes in the email and/or in the
announcement on the JH web page?

Also, there appears to be an important comment in the bug for the search
highlighting issue: "Note that the javahelp indexer (jhindexer) and
javahelp utility itself must be run with the same JDK to see this bug
fully resolved." This information only appears in the bug comments; I
think it should also appear in the release notes. Lastly, what exactly
does the comment mean? What is the "javahelp utility itself"? jh.jar? (I
made a build of our software on my machine using the new jhindexer, and
the bug appears to be fixed.)

Cheers,

Brett
