JGoodies Forms Demo looks a lot better than when run from the source code.

Hi People.

I downloaded and ran the Forms Demo from JGoodies and was impressed with the way it looked.

I downloaded the forms demo source (included in the forms library download) and ran that.

It did not look like the demo. There was no main frame that contained the examples (with a list on the left to select them, and the nice title/boxing effect), each one just came in its own frame.

I have the appropriate look and feel on my class path and it is using it.

I'm running ubuntu.

Is the demo using other stuff that isn't available, or am I missing some libraries/set up or should it I be able to run it from the source and get it to look exactly like the demo?

Thanks, Paul.

After doing a bit of searching around various bits of there source code I noticed the component I was looking for was: SimpleInternalFrame

I'm still not completely happy with the differences in a few other components but for now it will do.

Cheers, Paul.

In the future, instead of posting on multiple general forums when you have a question on a specific project, it's much better to do this on the forums / mailing lists of that project. This way you'll get answers straight from the source.

Ha. I see you saw my post on the sun swing forum as well. Sorry about that - I posted on the swing forum first and then found this forum (from searching about the subject) and I thought this was more relevant so posted here as well!

I couldn't find a jgoodies forum (or form layout forum). Do you know of one because I always have small issues with forms and I could really do with a specialized forms forum?

Cheers, Paul.
