[BD-J-DEV] IFA, anyone?

2 replies [Last post]

If anyone will be in or near IFA in Berlin on Wednesday
the 5th, please stop by! If you're curious about how
Java FX/Script and BD-J relate, that's one of the subjects
I could chat about in this informal venue.

In case the attachment doesn't come through, it says:

Please join Bill Foote, Sun Microsystems' Blu-ray Disc
interactive authoring architect, at IFA Consumer Electronics
Unlimited conference and learn more about the latest
interactive development opportunities.

The Blu-ray Disc Java (BD-J) development platform will be
familiar to developers acquainted with the multi-media home
platform (MHP), Java mobile edition (Java ME) and even Java
standard edition (Java SE) for the desktop. BD-J can be your
entry into the exciting (and lucrative) world of gaming and
film making.

When: Wednesday, September 5, 2007

Where: IFA Exhibit Hall 6.2, booth 104
Blu-ray Disc Association Booth
Berlin, Germany

Time: 10 AM, 12 PM, 2 PM, 4 PM

Also, I'll be around Berlin until the midnight train
leaves the Hbf; I'd love to meet up with folks out there
looking at BD-J.

my name is andrea venturi and i work in cineca, an italian inter-university consortium based in bologna,

we work since 2004 on MHP interactive digital television running an open source project called JustDvb-It:

We are beginning to work on BD-J too, because we believe that interactive tv off-line (based on optical disc) could be too a huge success for example for t-learning and more.

so i'm attending ifa, the five of september, hoping to meet you there.

I am already working on BD-Java titles. I am very interested in that Forum. Is any registration required to join that event?

Best Regards,
