Hi,

I have built PhoneME feature for ARM (MX31). Copied the bin, appdb and lib folders in a folder on the device. From the bin directory I have tried to run ./usertest. It gives me the following error:

./usertest: exec: 29: ./runMidlet: not found

then I tried ./runMidlet and I get

-sh: ./runMidlet: not found

Does anyone know what is this about? It seems that there is some library missing.

Thanks,
Dan

hi,

check if the main binary "runMidlet" is actually generated or not in your bin folder. If you build successfully then it should be available there .
Also you may need to set MIDP_HOME environment variable which will point to the folder in which your lib, appdb folders reside.

Hi Tushar,

yes, the runMidlet is generated in the bin/arm directory. I did a

file ./runMidlet

and it says it is built for arm and is dynamically linked.

I also set the MIDP_HOME environment variable but no luck. I also downloaded the phoneme_feature binary build for arm and tried it. It gives me the same error. It may be something with my system (it is a very trimmed down Linux system) - maybe something is missing. No clue what.

Thanks,
Dan
