Hi,
I am thinking of using StAX API for parsing XML and I need to handle validation against XML Schema. Is there any StAX parser implementation that is validating ?. I understand that SJSXP is a non validating parser and Woodstox seems to have its own proprietary extensions to StAX.

Does Schema Validation Framework in the latest release of JAXP support StAX ( or allow validation against schema while reading from a StAX source ) ?

Did not check for earlier releases of the JAXP reference implementation; but as of its latest release, i.e. version 1.4.2, it does support validating against an XML schema using StAX.

You may want to look at the threads

Is this you were asking for?

Hille.

PS: You seem to need at least version 1.4.0; look at the release notes at

Thanks for the info. That is exactly what I was looking for - the support for StAX in Schema validation framework.
