Hi.

Is it possible to send information on phone from application to phones own clipboard, not through RMS?
application would be MIDP 2.0 and CLDC 1.1 and phone is Nokia 9300

Is this possible at all?
PIM API seems promising, but I would like to have more information before I proceed any further

Thanks

In general is it possible to define phones resources so that I can access them with java application and modify them?

Hi!

Well, it does not seem that PIM API can implement the functionality you ask for. It's rather targeted to one of three predefined resource types. Although say another part of JSR 75 - File Connection API can be theoretically used (e.g. via predefined special file name). However it's not standardized in any way and even if supported it will be proprietary of a small number of devices. As far as I know there is currently no specified way to do that

Regarding the other types of phone resources it depends on the resources you want to access. E.g. there is JSR 266 which allows to access phone's message box.

Andrey
