i have 2 applications working correctly both but each one alone , i was wondering how i can link the 2 midlets such that the first application starts and when it is finished the second one starts automatically?

by the way the problem is that the both have a display object

It sounds like you do not want the applications to run concurrently. The PushRegistry may be what you are looking for. If the applications are in the same suite, the first application can launch the second application via registerAlarm. You can register the alarm for the second app during shutdown of the first, specifying an execution time of a few seconds in the future.

As an aside, are you sure that you need two midlets to implement the business logic? If the second app is only meant to be launched by the first, it may mean the second application is better as a component of the first application.

You might want to post your question on the ME Interest forum to get a wider audience.

Maybe you could describe in a little more detail what your applications are doing. For example, do they exhange data in any way? What is the relationship between the two applications? What platform are you running on (MIDP 2.0)? Are you targeting specific devices?
