I would like to install and run SUN java J2ME or J2SE v.1.1 on a ARM CPU running Linux 2.6.19.

What i need is a distribution capable of being cross compiled to the ARM-Linux platform.

Does something like this exorcist? If yes where?

Hi,

Our open source Java ME implementation phoneME Feature supports Linux/ARM as a standard platform. For phoneME Advanced Linux/ARM is not part of the supported platforms but there are efforts underway to make it work.

You can build these versions yourself using cross-compiler. See the phoneME Getting Started documentation.

See https://phoneme.dev.java.net.

Hope that helps,

Is phoneME the only SUN java product that runs on the ARM/Linux platform?
