I noticed when updating a jar containing dlls and specified as native lib in the jnlp the jar does not get updated. Has anyone else seen this happen?
It is the application native jars I am referring to. Thus if a third party updates it's dlls and I repackage/sign the jar with the new dlls web start does not seem to use the new jar. I hate to have the users use the java control applet under windows to delete the files but that is what seems to work.
Are you talking about when you upgrade your application (i.e. - post a new jnlp file) or when the PC updates its Java version?
Thanks, I will give that a shot. I discovered just recently when you have a dll that calls another dynamically it is a good idea to load that one using loadlibrary. Thus your comment makes a bit of sense to me now.
