we have a project coming up with developing stuff for our corporate blackberry

For BlackBerry applications, write them using the BlackBerry APIs, which
are based on Java ME. See my "BlackBerry Programming 101" article at

yes, seems like blackberry has alot of stuff for developers, i have been on the develope website alot today.

JavaFX is far from being released as a mass market product, and not
adapted to j2me devices. If you want to write a real application, and not
just an UI demo, go directly to j2me
