Hi,
I was wondering if there are any samples/examples available on how to build interactive tests?

Hi Sasha,

Just to reiterate what Mikhail and Alexander said, we're working on the samples right now and they will be available shortly. We'll let you know ASAP. :)

As for the particular problem. The test should be marked as interactive in the "test description" (depending on you setup, either in the HTML file or in the java file via keywords). Also, it seems that the ME Framework in some cases uses wrong test Script instance to execute the test (this bug is already fixed in the upcoming ME Framework versions). Can you check what Script is being used in your case?

Just select the failed test in the test harness, and then "Test Run Messages" tab on the right, then "summary" field. It should state something like this: The test was run by the following script class: com.sun.tck.midp.javatest.MidTCKScript.

If you see different Script class there, that might explain the problem.

But if you don't have time to debug this problem, we'll have the full working sample soon.

Thanks,

Thank you guys for your responses!
I don't think "interactive" keyword (in the source file) worked for me. I'm currently working on something else but I might find some time to work on this issue later. Meanwhile, I'm looking forward to get my hands on your working sample.

Thanks,

Hi Sasha,

we do not have interactive test samples posted at the moment.
These samples are on our "to-do" list.
I logged this request in Issue Tracker as issue #164 to make tracking easier.

If you have any specific need for interactive testing, please let us know.

thank you,
Mikhail

Hi Mikhail,

Here is my situation: I took SimplestTestSuite example as my starting point for building my own test suite. Everything worked fine. Now, I need to add some interactive tests to the same suite. I've used J2MEDistributedTest as a base class for my interactive tests but it's not being bundled into the jar and I get NoClassDefFoundError on the device as a result. I've search meframework_devguide.pdf but still not sure I understand how bundling works.

Regards,

Hi Sasha,

at first glance the "interactive" keyword is omitted in @keywords tag of test.
Unfortunately it is not simple to create interactive test so I think there is
another problems can be. Feel free to ask. Also we're going to create sample
test suite with interactive tests.

Thanks,
Alexander
