Okay I am not sure if I am posting in the right place but I will try here. I am building the SDK according to this document for solaris: http://download.java.net/jdk6/6u1/promoted/b03/docs/build/README-builds....

When I start the build with `make dev` it prints things and then after saying linking vm it prints about 2000 for different things
ld: warning: mapfile: text segment: section `.text%AlwaysTrueClosure::AlwaysTrueClosure()' does not appear in file `genCollectedHeap.o'

And then at the bottom of the stderr it says this

gmake[3]: *** [all] Error 1
gmake[2]: *** [all] Error 1
gmake[1]: *** [j2se-build] Error 2
gmake: *** [dev-build] Error 2

I am stuck and do not know what other information is needed please let me know.

The "can't find .tff" file is the problem. Did you make sure you got the TWO source bundles from the jdk6 site? There are TWO source bundles that need to be installed into the same source area.

You post in
http://forums.java.net/jive/thread.jspa?threadID=26790&tstart=0
is the right forum for JDK 6.

However you may consider building OpenJDK now which
is like JDK 7 alpha.
