Hi All,

I'm new to JMaki as well as AJAX. I'm trying to figure out how to extract the date once a specific one has been selected. I've tried a number of things, but when I'm in debugging mode, none of them are in the bean object that I've created. Any ideas? I'm pretty stumped.

I just added code which publishes the value to a topic. This will be in the next release of jMaki
which we are trying to get out asap. Most likely next week. To pick up the value from a topic
see the sample getWidgetData.

I'm also trying to use (dropdown)datepicker, and then pass the date back to the server. But when creating a value binding to the backing(managed) bean this way

the default values of the calendar don't get set, I only can choose from "NaN" options, and when I submit the form containing the datepicker, the submitted value is null (refering to the setter method in the bean).
What am I doing wrong? OR Can you point me to a working JSF-datepicker example with an exact link? I couldn't find one.
Thank you!

Hi mmixon,

If you've downloaded the Jmaki examples, you'll find in the source an example of a datePicker (if that's what you are refering to): datepicker-jsf.jsp.

I see that it can be linked to a bean when used with JSF (text visible when using Netbeans, after clicking on the "Jmaki" button, in the "usage" tab).

Thanks. I've gathered a few references about JSF and I must say that I've been wasting a lot of development time by not using this framework.
