Java3D via JOGL on MacOS

No replies

Java3D 1.5.0 with the JOGL rendering pipeline has turned
out to be excellent on our many Mac machines here at
SSEC. I have one question regarding the location of the
jogl native libraries:

If I run the JOGL test programs, I can specify the location
of the native libs via '-Djava.library.path'. However, if using
Java3D/JOGL I always have to set the library path with the
environment variable 'DYLD_LIBRARY_PATH'. This makes
distribution of applications more difficult. Does anyone have
an idea what's going on here. Has anyone succesfully delievered
a Mac *.app using Java3D/JOGL?
