number of recordstores limit

Do manufacturers code in a maximum number of recordstores that you can create? I'm looking at creating maybe 100+ -- just wondering whether it's feasible across handsets?

JSR248 MSA 1.0 A.1 Hardware Requirements and Recommendations
recommends that 10 record stores of at least 64K is a minimum.
