I’m currently working on my final thesis to become a Computer Engineer.
The thesis allows visualizing 3D system architectures, for this purpose I’m using looking glass and I would like to know how I can load my thesis into lg3D-incubator.
Hi: I already sent the JCA and have the role of developer for lg3d-incubator; I would like to know what is that I have to do to be able to upload my thesis as a subproject to the lg3d-incubator. Do I have to request a proyect?
If you want a separate java.net project, then yes you will have to ask the java.net folks to create one for you. In the past most developers have simply added their projects in a subdirectory of lg3d-incubator. Apart from the reduction in management overhead of your own project this has the big advantage that your demo will automatically be included in lg3d builds (as long as you add the necessary updates to the lg3d-incubator ant scripts etc).
OK, what should I do to add my application as a subdirectory of Ig3d-incubator. Do I have to use any special tool? can I do it with the Eclipse IDE?
Just use CVS to add the subdir and your code and build scripts. I'm sure Eclipse has CVS support, but I've never used it.
I see you already sent your JCA in, now you only have to request a
developer role at https://lg3d-incubator.dev.java.net (you must be logged in
at dev.java.net), then some project owner will contact you and probably
allow you as a developer at the incubator.
