A few JXTA problems that needs answers

I have a few doubts regarding JXTA examples(v2.3 with Programming guide) and few other doubts regarding JXTA in general. Let me first tell you guys that I'm trying to build a simple P2P Tool for LAN.

1. When I run JXTA PeerGroupDiscovery (with No Rendezvous Specified) and run joinDemo, sometimes it detects while sometimes it just takes a long time or doesn't discover a peergroup at all. Why is this?

2. In the above case it mostly works with Network Interface not specified. i.e when left blank.

3. How does JXTA work when there are multiple LAN's connected?

4. Why doesn't 1:1 chat not work in InstantP2P? GroupChat works perfectly fine but when trying 1:1 chat, it says attempting to locate user and ... no response after that. I tried waiting for a long time. But file transfer in the same scenario works perfect. Is this because of the limitations of the PipeListener or Pipe in general? If yes, how come it works with myJXTA 2?

thank you!

:-)

You are relying on a demo Rendezvous server. You should
deploy a local rendezvous for your network

JXTA can manage multi-IP addresses and LAN. JXTA
resolves the best LAN connection for two peers to
connect.

No. This is likely a discovery issue that you can address
by deploying a local rendezvous.
