I'm trying to deploy my WAR file. I get this error, but no more information. I don't see anything in the Logs that incicates what's going on.

Error An error has occurred
Trying to create reference for application in target server failed; Bad File parameter in AppDD ctor: C:\code\glassfish\domains\triadDomain\applications\j2ee-apps\MEjbApp Bad File parameter in AppDD ctor: C:\code\glassfish\domains\triadDomain\applications\j2ee-apps\MEjbApp

Any Recommendations?

I had the same error. I had to undeploy the offending Enterprise Application to get it to work.

unfortunately i am unable to undeploy the app, because it has been disappeared and i am just trying to deploy newly... The application has been lost after a restart - very strange

error message is: CLI171 Command deploydir failed : Trying to create reference for application in target server failed; Bad File parameter in AppDD ctor: C:\glassfish\

is there any hints how to cleanup glassfish and it's temporary files/ folders?

thx

Don't know if you're still having a problem with this, based on the fact that your last post was 8 months ago.

The resolution I found was to copy the following directories from a working instance to \domains\\applications\j2ee-apps:
__ejb_container_timer_app, __JWSappclients and MEjbApp

It was only after trawling through the server and domain logs that I saw it searching for MEjbApp.

Not 100% sure why the installer doesn't redeploy these files though.

Did you ever figure out what the problem was here? I'm getting a similar error trying to deploy an .ear file:

Thanks,

Rick

Hi, Rick
I am not sure. But we can certainly look into it if you could
provide a reproducible test case.

Thanks,

- Hong

Hi Hong,

I can easily reproduce it, but I have not yet been able to create a set of files to send you. I need to undo my certificate stuff and all that so it will work for you. When I have the set together, how can I send them to you?

btw, are you a Glassfish developer?

Thanks,

Rick

You can file a glassfish issue and add the test case as attachment or if
you prefer, you could also send the test case to me by email.

Hi
any one resolved this problem?
It looks that there is no integration between netbeans 6 beta 1 and builds
after it with Glassfish 2 because it can not deploy the application or
manager Glassfish start/stop from within itself

What method of deployment are you using?

I would recommend using asadmin deploy..

Also, this error probably isn't for your app.... MEjbApp is a system app. A error deploying it may have all kinds of interesting symptoms.

Your deployment error may be one of them...

In an earlier post, I recommended creating a new domain... Did you do that? If you did, how did you create it?
