Jeodek optimization ?

Hello,

We bought an iPaq 6915 supplied with an Esmertec Jeodek VM. We
developped on JSR 184 a fast 3D professional application, wich runs
fine on a Nokia E61.
We were expecting striking results on the HP device in accordance to
http://www.jbenchmark.com/result.jsp?benchmark=3d which ranks the E61
far below the iPaq.

To the contrary, the application dropped from 15 FPS on E61 to 5 FPS
on the iPaq... Naturally, the only application running in memory was
the VM.

So my question is simple : does anyone knows if we need to optimize
our code so as it runs fine on Jeodek and then, how can we do that ?
No clues at all after spending a couple of hours at googling, reading
Esmertec web site, and specialized forums...

Thanks in advance !

Alain Rey

I just want to mention that sometimes manufactures finetune their phones
to get max performance on popular benchmarks. Probably that's why the
jbenchmark result is so good :-) I also met a few phones which had
average jbenchmark results, but were pretty unusable for games.
