Hi,

If you have any experience on following issues, please give your thoughts
about it.

1) Maximum number of threads permitted by different devices and thread
scheduling/concurrency issues for different devices
2) maximum number of concurrent network connections permitted by different
devices.

Thanks In Advance....
Satu

Hi Satu,

Sorry for the slow reply.

Unfortunately, both issues are device dependent. The specs do not require any particular behavior. The MSA spec (JSR 248/249) will mandate support for at least 10 threads, I believe, but since there are no MSA devices today that doesn't help you currently.

In general, however, with mobile devices you should design your application to use heavyweight resources like threads and network connections carefully. In most cases, for example, you design will likely not need more than 3 or 4 threads at the most.

Can you describe the scenario?
