Dear all,

i have 2 question about toplink, could anybody tell me the answer?

1. Is there any means that i can get the current database time without using native query?
i can't use 'select current_timestamp()' as this function seem can only be used in the where clause...

2. for optimistic locking, i use a timestamp column(@Version), say update_datetime, to track record changes, how do toplink essentials update the timestamp column --- user database timestamp or the application server's time?

thank you...
