hello
i am trying to read video file from system dir like this.
InputStream ins = getClass().getResourceAsStream(video);

if i make use of WTK with version 2.2 i get OutOfMemoryException.

however if i use WTK 2.5 i wont get the above exception. It works fine.

wht might be the problem ?

Thanks

If the implementation is not optimized, it could create a native and/or
Java array to hold the entire resource. If your Video is large, that
would cause an OutOfMemoryException.

Likely the later version takes a streaming approach to reading resources.
