Hello,

I wonder if you guys have seen an issue where a swing application on a normal display runs ok, but as soon as the display is rotated, the gui does not refresh at all!!!

How to solve this? Is this a graphics card issue? Is there some magic command line argument to the VM to fix this?

Thx!!!

Ok I'll reply:

Option 1: Lower the graphics card hardware acceleration level,
Option 2: Use -Dsun.java2d.opengl=false -Dsun.java2d.noddraw=true if you are using JSE 5.0
Option 3: Use JSE 6.0

It shouldn't require any of those options, period.

You might say that Swing should have had everything it has now back in 1.0, but that's unrealistic as well. As the OP said, it works out-of-the-box with Mustang, so what's the big deal?
