It looks like it's written using Java3D, so someone could port it.

I don't see anything on the page about what license it's released
under, so you'd have to contact the author for permission first.

I am the main author. Minesweep3D is released under the artistic license. If you want to port it go ahead :-)

Thanks Josef, hopefully someone will do the port.

For anyone wanting to try remember the Looking Glass scenegraph has a Java3DGraph scene graph node which allows a Java3D graph to be attached directly into the lg3d tree. However this is only for the main graph content, not the view side of the graph. The main effort in a port will be replacement of AWT events with lg3d events for user input and adjustments to the Minesweep3D scene to account for the lack of control of the view portion of the graph.
