Is there any way where we can annotate (stamping/franking) TIFF files using JAI. It will be greatful if someone can clarify my doubt.

Thanks,

You can get the image as a BufferedImage and use its getGraphics to get
a graphics context then draw on it.
This way does not uses JAI.

Hi Rafeal,

Thanks for the reply.

I have no idea about image handling in java. Is it possible for you to provide a code snippet which will explain the functionality told by you.

Thanks in advance,
gsudhir

The StampImage code in
http://www.lac.inpe.br/~rafael.santos/Java/JAI/index.html does it, but
does not work with TIFF images in some systems since it uses ImageIO,
but I guess the code could be easily modified.

hope it helps,

Rafael
