Hello everyone,

I am a newbie to LG3D and java.

Can anyone point me in the right direction for learning LG3D. I have run all three tutorials so that is good. However there was not enough information on how to make a simple app, and I have no clue as to where to begin.

I believe that I need a "Tutorial" on how to wirte a simple app for someone not familiar with Java or LG3D.

thanks in advance for anyones advice.

Hmm. I'd look at the Java tutorials:

I've never been able to find an introductory Java text that I really liked. I had an instructor who really liked Thinking in Java, though:

Have you done GUI programming before? If you've never written a GUI before, I'd suggest at least getting your feet wet in Swing before trying to write LG3D apps. (You can use Swing inside of LG3D, so the effort won't be wasted.)

Writing command-line programs is fairly easy, writing graphical applications is hard, and writing 3D applications is even harder. You have been warned. :-)

Good luck, and have fun!
