Hi, when I am starting a server instance from the eclipse it will ask a username and password in console and the server wont start. Any ideas? I am using eclipse 3.2.
"domain1" is hardcoded into the plug-in. Similar experience here. After some source code review from the CVS here are my observations:
* "domain1" is hardcoded, so starting and using other domain on the Appserver is impossible to work.
* No source code documentation there. I tried to fix it, located the hardcoded locations but it will take much longer to get to understand where from everything comes without any comments in the code.
My Conclusion: Immature plugin. Maybe even on purpose to get developers to use Netbeans.
Please, remember that Eclipse is not there yet for Java EE 5 support in general.
The work is in progress both at the Eclipse level and the GlassFish plugin level.
The current plugin is an enabler for using GlassFish in Eclise via simple scenarios (i.e the default out of the box settings).
IF you have the time, you could file bugs so that we can track them and of course.... fix them.
Check the log file for errors.
Check if oyu can start it outside Eclipse.
The glassfish is working fine without Eclipse. I think the problem is in plugin and it will not pass any parameters to the satrtup process. It tried to change the domain name from 'domain1' to 'something' and still Eclipse tries to start a domain named 'domain1'. It says 'CLI156 Could not start the domain domain1.' So there must be something wrong in the plugin.
same problem, eclipse 3.2+WTP 1.5 and when I try to start Sun Application Server 8.1 from the IDE it says CLI156. But
I can Stop it when I start it outside the IDE. Missing or wrong params I think.
