Hi, I'm interested in knowing how can I run NetBeans in LG3D & how can I run
LG3D as a JPanel (or TopComponent) in NetBeans. Can any one help?
We are working on this. The AWTToolkit work should allow us to run any Swing app and it's probably to a state where Netbeans would at least start although we are aware of some issues with modal dialogs etc.
The one gotcha at the moment is that Netbeans starts it's VM with a lot of runtime settings which is not trivial to do in lg3d at the moment. We plan to address this by implementing disitributed system so that Netbeans can be run in it's own VM and will communicate with the VM running the lg3d renderer through a socket.
