Hi Playoc,

The fish eye in essence it a set of divs to which you can attach events to in dojo.

I'm not sure what you mean by 'shadowed by select HTML elements'. The link you provided is not available.

Dear gmurray71:

plase see this file:
http://140.117.205.5/~c8942008/cover.bmp

because fisheye is a HTML's [div] element,
so this kind of condition will happens.
i think if fisheye can builds like [iframe] or etc...
fisheye can be mre better :)
but in fact,fisheye is already very powerful!
very thanks your response.

Oh this is pretty easy. This is a simple CSS layering issue. All you need to do is make sure the CSS z-index property of the component in your page is a lower number than the one in the Dojo Fish Eye List Item. It is set to z-index: 2; in the Dojo Distribution. You can manullay increase this number by going to your instance of Dojo and changing the property in the file: dojo/src/widget/templates/HtmlFisheyeList.css

.dojoHtmlFisheyeListItem {
position: absolute;
z-index: 99;
}

Should do the trick.

jMaki is focused on exposing all the libraries out there to Java developer. It does it's best to support all the browsers out there but in the end the components jMaki wraps may not be perfect. We do test with IE and in this case the non-shadowing may be a limitation with the IE browser for that Dojo Fish Eye component.
