First of all, let me tell you that jmaki is an unbelievable tool. I had it up and running in minutes with Netbeans!
The chat component never appeared in the Palette and I am not sure where to find instructions on how it can be used.
Thanks for a great product.

Chat is now part of the jMaki Netbeans module version 1.3.1 and greater. Get the plugin from https://ajax.dev.java.net/servlets/ProjectDocumentList?folderID=0

The jMaki chat did not make it into the initial palette as we didn't have time to properly integrate it and the chat service. It will be in the next iteration which we hope to gt out next week. The jMaki sample application which appears in the https://ajax.dev.java.net/servlets/ProjectDocumentList?folderID=0 does include the chat widget.
