As a J2EE developer there are so many frame works and api's which make development easy. Are there any such frameworks for swing to ease in the building of the gui.

Hi,
There are many Swing frameworks out there, it really depends on what you want to do. One think I couldn't imaging developing without are the excellent jgoodies libraries which can be found at:
http://www.jgoodies.net/downloads/libraries.html

In particular I would definitely take a look at binding and forms.

I would also take a look at the recently open sourced JMatter:
http://jmatter.org/

It seems to be somewhat like ruby on rails, except for Swing UI's.

There are many other libraries out there, it just depends on what you want to do!
