Hi everyone,

I've come a across a problem. I've added the JDIC WebBrowser component to my Java app. It works great except one problem; If I am not connected to the Internet at the time the WebBrowser component is initialized in the code then I get this error message:

"Can't connect to the native embedded browser. Error message: Maximum retry number reached!"

No WebBrowser is displayed, instead I get the dreaded "grey screen of death" where it shoud have been displayed. If I am connected then there's no problems and it works fine.

Does anyone know how to fix this, or is this is a bug?

Many thanks

Hi,

Sorry I forgot to post an update on this. What I was doing was turning my "internet lock" on within my Firewall to try and immitate not being connected to the Internet and it was when I did this that it didn't work.

However, when I actually did disconnect from the Internet, it did load the webbrowser okay. So don't worry, it was my fault for not actually properly disconnecting from the internet properly.
