j2se app & glassfish

Hi,

I have a j2se app, with own entity manager. For runtime, do I need a running copy of glassfish ?

I ask this because I had shutdown glassfish and forgot to restart it, but yet the app works perfectly (as far as I can tell!).

For Standalone J2SE apps with JPA 220 APIs usage, you do *not* need an application server to be up and running.
You only need the persistence runtime jars: toplink*.jar in your class path.
