RE: [JAVAHELP] Problems with double-byte languages and jar files

Thanks Binky!

I was able to stumble on what seems to be the problem. The application uses the 1.4.1 JRE at the moment while I was running the hsviewer at 1.5.0_01. After bumping up the application's JRE to 1.5.0_01, the text was readable except for H1s, H2s, and other various items styled by a stylesheet. Those were still displayed as garbage. Once I removed the reference to the stylesheet, all text was displayed correctly. So it looks like a combination of changing the JRE to 1.5 and removing the stylesheet fixed the problem.

Certainly sounds like a setup issue with the application though one would think that it would fail on both jar and non jarred environment.
Setup seems to be logical since it does work in the hsviewer.

Maybe Igor will have an idea. I'll send him the message and see if he has any better idea of the problem.
