Release 70 causes flickering when mixing JOGL and Swing
I've recently upgraded from Mustang 66 to Mustang 70. I noticed some bad flickering that wasn't there in a previous release, and wrote a small demo program to test things out.
When you create a GLCanvas and add it to you root panel (or a component that is nested within the root), it will display the rendering canvas as expected. If you then define a JPopup menu, set it's lightWeightEnabledPopup to false and show an instance of it over top of the viewport, half the time it will display rapidly flickering. Sometimes it will display steadily.
In release 66, I never observed this behavior.
Is there a work around?
