C applications calling JavaHelp has been done with the JavaDesktop
Operating System (linux) and in Gnome on Solaris. In this particular
case they already had an infrastructure that intitiated help so they
didn't need the RCP calls just a C program that initiates JavaHelp using
Java Native Interface (JNI). I don't remember all the details though.
I'll see if I can find some sample code for you to look at.

Does JavaHelp come with an RPC server? No you'll need to create your
own.
