Sir,
Iam a student and very much interested in Looking
Glass Project.I have a very basic question about
fedora for my machine. My machine architecture is i686
and I could only find FC2-i386-disc*.iso.I guess it
means that this is optimized to run properly on i386
Arch.
linuxoneum@clover:~/<418>uname -a
Linux clover 2.4.25-1-k7 #2 Thu Apr 15 01:19:15 EST
2004 i686 GNU/Linux
linuxoneum@clover:~/<421>getconf WORD_BIT
32
So can I install FC2-i386-disc*.iso on my
machine?
The following is my machine configuration. And I just
need confirmation about my hardware and I hope 20 GB
will be sufficient for running lg3d.Currently "direct
rendering" is set to NO.Are there any parameters
specific to lg3d which I need to set during
installation so that it will be easy later to run
lg3d?
Thankyou.
linuxoneum@clover:~/images<424>glxinfo|grep rendering
direct rendering: No

Hi

i386 means that it will work on any x86 machine which is 386 and
upwards. This includes 486, pentium, pentium, pentium 3 etc.

As long as it's x86 you should be fine.

Hope you find it fun to play around with :)
