Are there issues holding project looking glass back from running on OS X? There is a full X11 implementation on OS X as well. I would think that the JDK version would be one thing holding it back, but can't that be worked around? Let me know. I would be intrested in helping if there is hope. It seems like this would be a gimme since OS X is also a flavor of linux...but I don't really know anything about the architecture of LG3D. If anyone has any insight, let me know.

The Project Looking Glass development environment (without the X integration) will run on any platform that provides JDK 5.0 (tiger), Java 3D 1.3.2 and JAI 1.2.2.

I don't know what Apples plans are for these dependencies.

As for the X integration, LG3D uses a modified Xorg server, which is availabile in the lg3d-x11 project, we have only compiled this on Linux so far so please report back if you get it compiled on OS X.

So you can run the 3d environment and custom 3d apps writen to the API on any platform? That is pretty cool. I'll try to compile the Xserver on my mac at home when i get a chance. I'm not sure if my gpu is too old or not...i'll let you know. ;)

Congrats on all the fanfare so far. really great this got GPLed. Keep up the good work.

Dude you had any joy on this so far? I've been looking at Windows versions and would love one on my Mac. This so far looks like one of the best and GPL means we have a chance of making it for our (my?!?) system of choice!

Thanks!
