Do you see any unusual message in /var/log/Xorg.0.log ?
Is the symptom new to 0.62 RC1? (does it happen with 0.61?)
If you keep seeing the issue, please consider to file an Issue against it on the following page (you need to login to java.net to file a report):
Thanks, fl0rian, for checking the new build regarding the USB mouse.

Hmmm... it shouldn't (rather it could be slightly faster compared to a development build of the 0.62 branch in the CVS, since in the release build we don't set a debug flag). Please try it again and let us know if you still see the slowness.
If i plug my usb mouse X server chash after I make some acition with that mouse like click a button or simply moving it.
I have a laptop and my synaptic touchpad works ok,X only crash with the usb mouse.

Hi, i've tested this release on my laptop too and i don't have this specific problem with my usb mouse.
This release seems to be a little slowly compare with the cvs lg3d. Maybe it's normal, maybe my eyes are tired.
